A busy evening at Brixham where all four tables were in use right up to and beyond the 10pm‘curfew’.

Although Allen Pack for Trawlers took the first set in the opener against Seals’ Stuart Shipley, the young gun turned it in his favour and this was pretty much the theme of the evening as Seals came out 8-2 victors.

Nick Williamson was the surprise package tonight for Trawlers, beating new recruit Phil Avery on loan from Wales in four and also teaming up with Alan Maynard to play a blinder to gain Trawlers’ second point in the doubles. 

Special mention goes to Bob Parkins who played a tactical match to minimise his newly sustained back injury and still came through with a maximum. Well done to him. The win for Seals keeps the Div 2 title chase alive where any one of the four teams from the ‘big’ clubs in contention.
