An excellent team performance resulting in an 8-2 win for the Taverners versus the Hawks.

For the third successive home match, Martin won all his 3 sets including a hard fought win against  the "always dangerous" Mike D. In fact this was the best set of the evening with both Martin and Mike contributing to some fine rallies. Martin won the decisive third game 18-16 to lead 2-1 and then went on to win in 4.

It was a pleasant evening of table tennis and an earlier finish than usual (9.30) due to some extent by both teams starting matches quickly and continuing straight on after each game. 

Finally it was good to meet up and play against one of our former colleagues Alan Tyrrell. Good luck to the Hawks in their remaining matches.
