The last league match of the season for Taverners and a 7-3 loss to the "champions elect" of Division 2, Newton Abbot Falcons.

It was a well deserved win for Falcons with their key players Ed and Giles dominant throughout. Apart from Giles dropping a game to myself, it was all "plain sailing" and supported by Jeremy, particularly in the doubles and contributing to the best rally of the match against Martin!, demonstrated again that Falcons are the strongest team in this Division. They also have been greatly assisted during the season by David Davies and Paul Humphries.

Despite the result it was another enjoyable and pleased to say a sporting encounter to complete our league season.

So many congratulations to the Falcons and good luck to the team in Division 1 in 2018/19!

Meanwhile, after a slightly disappointing season for the Taverners not helped by some distressing and other events, it was still an enjoyable one with friendly colleagues on board. Hopefully we will embrace the same experience next season but maybe with a few better results!?
