Yet another enjoyable and competitive evening of table tennis against our "old friends" the Brixham Trawlers team. Plenty of good matches including 4 sets being settled in 5 games.

Everyone played their part with both Ian and Nick playing well and with Gareth Gilpin, playing his first match for 2 years, performing creditably.

For Taverners a maximum for Colin supported by Martin and myself with 2 each. The doubles set though epitomised the competitiveness of the evening with Colin and Martin coming back from 2 games down against Nick and Ian only to lose 12-10 in the fifth.

So a welcome 7 points for Taverners in our first match of the season.
