Another 7-3 win for Taverners, this time against Marldon, which followed a similiar pattern to our match with Brixham Trawlers.

Colin was "Man of the Match" for the second time with a maximum but again Martin and myself managed to provide support with 2 each.

Most of the matches were decided in 4 or 5 games with Colin's very narrow win against Ed in the opening singles (11-9 in the fifth) setting the tone for the evening.

My set with Dave was also "so tight" with Dave close to winning in 3 so I was perhaps fortunate to turn the set around to win in 5! Conversely Ed who was on the backfoot for most of our set came back to beat me in 4. That is the beauty of table tennis sometime!!

A good evening against friendly opponents played in the usual sporting spirit. Another match for Taverners on Thursday!
