Table Toppers Brandon Devils visited Ashbrooke B for the match of the week in division 3. Brandon raced into a 5/2 lead with Paul Lupton, Paul Thompson and Syd Gooding winning the first three ties - Lupton and Thompson combining to take the doubles. Ashbrooke’s trio weren’t to be denied however and Alasdair Campbell, Alan Thompson and Michael Oliver won their last three matches 3/2 with Oliver beating man of the match Lupton 13/11 in the last end to make it 5-5 and to retain the Sunderland side’s unbeaten sesson start. David Lloyd Ninja’s went top at Lanchester Praetorians - Tony Gelder and Christopher Ezennadili unbeaten in both singles and doubles - Tim Field added another in a solid 8/2 win.
