Match Report
West CAC set off to play Brandon Crusaders when we stopped going up the A690
towards Houghton because the road was closed because of the snow so we had
to turn right at East Herrington onto the A19, so Alan gave instructions
which route to take but it was decided to use the sat nav thus we embarked
on Mick Magical Mystery via Washington, Houghton Road up to Washington
services on the A1 down to Chester-le-Street and on to Neville's Cross then
down to Brandon. Good but no it took us a tour round Brandon via a
cul-de-sac and then I took charge and we arrived at our venue. Now the match
was our usual performance which as you know by now it was poor only spoilt
by Jason winning 2 sets, trust him to upset the plans, Alan Perry, Brian
Childs won 2 sets each and Paul Dale won his 3 and also the doubles with
Brian, with a bit more luck and a lot more skill West might have won another
2 sets which we did not deserve.
So Player of the Match was Paul Dale, well done Paul.
A big mistake was not taking notice of the sat nav because we might not have
got there and so we would not have lost.
