This week West CAC went to the wilds of Lumley to face Old England Nomads and as Mr Bateman wrote “ Great chat and banter”  but it was spoilt by West losing 9-1.

Paul Wiggins overcome Mick Redfearn in 3 games, but Alan Whitwham beat Stuart Anderson 3-1 to even the match but after it was all down hill from there with Brian Bateman doing what he does best by tormenting us with some of his masterful strokes.

The score does not reflect match as West lost three 5 enders and were in a position to win, praise must go to Stuart after the losing to Alan his first match he battled well to overcome Vic Austin and Mick in 5 ends.

I hate to say this but Player of the Match was Brian Bateman, so dam you Brian well played.

It was good to have a little pain relief by Sunderland winning the next day.
