First for the bad news Mark Burton had an unexpected win against Alan Whitwham in 3 ends 12-10 each game, but the good news the West CAC team squad won the other 9 sets against St. Gabs C.
West won the 1st 3 sets before Mark did his dirty against Alan but that was St Gabs last success of the night, with Michael Hepworth’s 3 sets, Alan’s 2, Jason Gargett’s 3 and he and Alan winning the doubles in 3 ends it completed a big win for West.
I must also give a mention to Jonny Haynes who stepped up from Div. 3 only to find it very hard but he fought all the way, so well done Jonny the experience should do him good.
Player of the Match was Jason Gargett, so well done Jason.
