Headline – SOPHIE SLAYS THE DRAGON
In the match between East Boldon Bandits and West CAC Princess Sophie Richardson defeated the Old Dragon Alan Whitwham in four ends, after the Princess won the first end 11-9, the Dragon showed his old fire and took the second game 11-7. But the Princess put out his fire by winning the next 2 ends. Sophie overcame Mick Redfearn in 3 games, and had a really good match against Jason Gargett losing 12-10 in the 4th end. Very well played on the night, Sophie.
Jason was West’s best player beating Ryan Campbell in 5 ends after losing the first 2 ends, then he teamed up with Alan to defeat Sophie and Istvan Franco in four ends. The last match was between Istvan and Jason which went all the way to 5 ends and could have gone either way but Istvan came out on top, taking the last end 11-7. This made Istvan Franco Player of the Match, well done Istvan.
