West CAC played St. Gabriel’s D on their new blue table and that was the colour that the West team felt like after a 8-2 defeat, though it started well when Jason Garrett overcome Gary Anderson in 4 ends but with David Snowdon and Istvan Soos  both winning all their singles with David and Gary beating Jason and Alan Whitwham in the doubles.

The only other success for West came when Michael Hepworth overcome Gary in straight games, this left Alan and Gary to fight out the last match of the night to see which one became the Mug of the Match and this was achieved by me when falling to Gary in 4 ends and he said the words I have heard over the past few seasons, it’s the first time that I have beaten you.

Player of the Match was the award winning author and has a new book out about Alan Durban, David Snowdon, so well played David.
