The local derby between West CAB and West CAC got off to the usual start with David Barber overcoming Mick Redfearn and Michael Hepworth, and Kishore Sridharan beating Mick in 3 ends.

With West B also losing the doubles meant that they were 4-2 down not a great way to start the New Year but wait, Magic Mick showing some of his old tricks to defeat Dave Thomson and the Yorkshire Butterfly getting the better of Kishore, Alan overcoming Dave meant the stage was set for a showdown with David Barber.

With both the Demon Barber and the Wonder that is Whitwham unbeaten, the match started Wonder Boy racing to a 2 game lead but the Demon was not finished when he won the 3^rd end 11-9, but Wonder Boy was not to be denied his night and went on to beat Demon Barber 11-3. Player of the Match was Alan, so well played me!
