After many months we are back playing table tennis again, but I would like to send my condolences to anyone who has lost family or friends to covid and hope you all stay heathy in the future.

West CAC travelled to Durham to play last years division 3 winners the Scorpions and were beaten 9-1 but I think it could have been closer than the final score suggested.

Ollie Wilkinson and Harry Veitch both won their three matches. Jeff McKenna won two but lost one to Malcolm Deneven, and Ollie and Ian McPherson overcame Alan Whitwham and Malcolm in a very good doubles match. Michael Hepworth for West played very well and was unlucky not to win any. Harry sat next to Alan who gave him words of advice, which he chose to ignore so that made him Player of the Match. So well done Harry!
