The good news first, Sunderland defeated Bolton on Saturday and the worse news I turned up to play table tennis against St. Gabs D where I lost all my matches and dragged Michael Hepworth down in the doubles, so that enough said about an old loser.

Malcolm Deneven lost to the dog- loving Ken Tweedy in a tight 4 ender, but went on to beat Steve Young and Dave Revell so well done that man, and Michael played well to overcome Steve in 5 ends. The match of the night when Malcolm and Dave went toe to toe and it all came down to the 5^th game where Dave had match point at 10-9 but the West number 1 took the last 3 points to make the score 7-3 to St. Gabs.

The Player of the Match went to new dog owner Ken Tweedy, so well played Ken and I hope you took the dog for a walk when you got home.
