Match Report
When West CAC travelled to the outer edge of the empire and to the extremes of humanity to face the unbeaten Backspin A, “ I believe in miracles” by Hot Chocolate, was going through my head, which I believed was a good omen for tonight’s match.
The 1st match was between the 2 Alans, Livingstone for the home side and the Whitwham for West this was won by the wrong Alan in 3 ends which was achieved with ease, next set was between Captain John Cook and the Yorkshire Terrier Michael Hepworth, who overcame John in a tight 4 ender. Howard Foster found Terry Kwong too strong for him and lost in 3 ends.
After that West CAC night went from bad to worse when they failed to win another game and proved that Backspin A were a class above us on this occasion and we can only hope to do better at home in the return match.
Player of the Match was Alan Livingstone, so well played Alan and also well played Michael for saving the whitewash.
On the way back to Sunderland we heard The Boomtown Rats who just summed our feeling with the song, “I Don’t Like Mondays”.
Gan Canny and don’t believe in songs,
Alan.
