In the first game Mike Lyons was strong favourite to beat Alan Whitwham, but Alan had game point in the 1^st end but lost 12-10 and in the next game Mike had a big lead but the Whitwham fought back to 10-9 but Mike held his nerve to close that game out and then won 11-4 in the 3^rd end. Michael Hepworth proved too strong for Linda Spensley and won in 3 ends .The 2 ex-firemen and ex-teammates Frank the Booth and Mick the Magic Redfearn, played each other but Frank won in 3 ends. Alan overcome Linda in 4 games and that proved to be the last set for the C team.

I must give praise to Linda after losing badly to Michael and getting an end off Alan she was 2 set points down in the 4^th end against Magic Mick, but came back to win that end and win 11-6 in the final end , so well played Linda to show her fighting spirit to win a set.

So, Player of the Match I find it hard to say was Frank Booth, so well played that man.
