I would like to thank everyone for their get well soon cards, but as you can see by our 10-0 defeat by the East Boldon Bandits, Neil Wilkinson, Jon Evans, and the great Jeff Hope, it did not work at all. The West CAC team was hit by injuries and illness with Howard Foster who had a runny nose, and our secret weapon Vic Austin did not pay off. You know that your team is in deep, deep trouble when your main hope is Alan Whitwham who once again failed to win a set.

A glimmer of hope when Alan took Jeff to 5 ends but lost and Jeff has been trying for centuries to overcome Alan, who said his time has come, and was proved right, so very well played Jeff and you can retire a happy man.

I’m pleased to say that Player of the Match could not go to a nicer man than Neil Wilkinson, so well played Neil.
