What a magnificent game of table tennis that went to the very end of the evening, thanks to Paul Henderson for helping us out. Lanchester haven't been beaten all season and with their extremely talented youngsters of Billy and Sam coming on so well under the tutorship of the wily Reuben Emery, they have matched everybody in the league so far. They started off well and were 3-1 up by the doubles with only Vince Sanderson scoring a victory, however the doubles proved the turning point with Luke and Vinny coming back from 2-0 down to win 11-9 in the final end. There was no let up from the Magic team now and they put the pressure on in all the remaining games, all of them either 4 or 5 enders and both 5 enders going to 11-9, but Magic stole the honours and came away with a 7-3 victory. The race for promotion is hotting up between, Lanchester, Magic and Brandon Joules and this was the first of three matches where they all play against each other before the end of the season.
