Well its not very often that you get to play in a tent, which made the trip to Houghton certainly different.

After going through the Church entrance and past the cafe we were directed into what looked like a sports hall but was a beautiful tent, probably used for receptions. With the white background, Bethany Christian Centre very sensibly used an orange ball for the match.

Howard, Graham and Bob all play different styles  and although Magic started well they soon ran out of tricks.

The MVP would go to Ian McPherson for Magic who won all his games and with Ross nearly took the doubles but Howard and Graham fought back to take  that 3-2. The only other success for Magic was Peter Whitfield who in some marathon rallies managed to send Howard to sleep and with his usual nets and edges managed to win in 5.

It did not take the glory away from the Bethany team who won 6-4 on the night
