A cracking match between the usual suspects for Magic, Ian Luke and Ross against a strong backspin Team of John Cook, Terry Kwong and now, playing his first season in the Sunderland league, after a number of seasons playing in the Northumberland league, Jamie Hall, who started with Backspin D but has now established himself as a strong second division player for the A team. Most game went to 3 and 4 ends including the doubles showing how close the match was overall, but 2 outstanding performances from Luke Dumighan and Ian McPherson who won all of their singles gave Magic the edge and a 6-4 victory
