Match Report
West CAC match against Backspin B saw the return of the league’s favourite reporter Alan Whitwham, supported by Michael Hepworth and the evergreen Howard Foster, where they faced Adam Boudabouza, Robert Cook and newcomer to our league Jamie Hall.
Michael overcame Robert in 3 ends, but there was a surprise defeat when Alan lost to Adam by 3 games to 0, and Jamie showed he meant business when he won the 1st of his 3 sets against Howard in 3 ends, and to cap a poor night for Alan he lost to Robert, who fought back from 2 games down to win 11-9 in the 5th end, with Backspin winning the doubles spelling doom for West.
Alan put in a player of the match performance , but unfortunately it was for Backspin D and not his team.
Player of the Match by a mile was Jamie Hall, so well played Jamie, and a good start in our league.
