West CAC travelled far to the Bad Lands of Brandon to face the Devils, Paul Lupton, Paul Thompson, and the Syd ‘ Vicious of table tennis’ Mr Gooding, the bad news for them I would not be playing.

The 1^st match saw Syd take Magic Mick Redfearn in 3 ends with fast services and great angle shots, Michael Hepworth had to fight hard to overcome a dogged Paul L. and Howard Forster showed his experience in defeating Paul T. 3-0. The Devils won the next 3 sets before Michael claimed a win against Paul T. It all came down to the last set with the Devils in the lead 5-4 and the 2 number ones.  Michael took the 1^st end , the Punk Syd gained the upper hand the next 3 ends and won a very entertaining match to give the Devils a 6-4 win, well done Brandon.

I must mention a player that did not win a set but played some cracking backhands with eco green rubber so when you play him watch the green flash, so well played Paul Thompson.

So, Player of the Match was Syd Gooding, well played Syd you deserved all the praise I gave you.

With West losing another match the crowd are shouting for my return, the fools.
