Match Report
Brandon Energy came from the edge of civilisation to take on West CAC and with the hope to heap more misery the City of Sunderland side, and they did by winning 7-3.
Michael Hepworth was once again star for West, it started when the good-looking David Flynn took him to 5 ends, then came the dynamic Peter Gregory after taking the 1st game, he then fell to some fine shots and lost the next 3 ends. The last set of the night saw Neil Richards play some wonderful defensive strokes mixed with great attacking play, but Michael saved his best performance when he won in 3 ends and put in the Player of the Match display , so well played West’s Yorkshire Terrier. Howard Forster put a good fight but failed to win a set and I know all my fans were waiting for me show all my skills but once again I let all of them down, sorry. My only excuse was my injured leg and every time I lost a point caused a limp by the end of the match, I was limping all the time, but I am a fighter not a quitter, see you next week.
Gan Canny,
Alan, the fighter, Whitwham
