West CAC travelled to play Durham Tornadoes with the knowledge that the legend that was Alan Whitwham was just about finished, but from the ashes rose the Phoenix in the form of Magic Mick Redfearn who went through the Durham team like a tornado. Mick played Euan Copple and after losing the 1st end, he then won the next 3, he then overcame Guy Wong in 3 games, and his final set he defeated Kye, the Cyclops, Bradley in 4 ends. Magic Mick teamed up with Alan in the doubles, who carried him, to beat the Cyclops and Euan in 3 ends. Kye, Euan and Guy all beat Alan and Howard Forster, so well played to the Tornadoes for their 6-4 victory.
Magic Mick lived up to his name, so The Player of the Match was Mick Redfearn where he played a controlled match with his attack and defence, well played that man.
