Brandon Devils sent Syd Gooding, Paul Lupton, and Paul Thompson to face the improving West CAC team and the home side got off to a terrible start by losing the 1^st 6 sets. Alan Whitwham restored to number one, and he proved another bad choice by the team selector ,( it was me), and I lost to Paul Lupton in 3 ends then to the other Paul over 4 ends and when I came to play Syd it went to 5 ends. Back in the days of black and white a young fresh-faced Syd Gooding lost to Alan and for years and years he been defeated time and again, but come 2023 Syd finally beat Alan, so well played Syd you can now retire, and live a happy life.

Paul Lupton was in tremendous form by beating Declan Kelly, Howard Forster, and teamed up with the other Paul take the doubles against Alan and Declan, so well played Paul.

Paul Thompson defeated Declan in the handicap singles in a hard-fought match over 5 ends and he went on to beat Declan and Alan in the match , but lost to Howard, I think after starting to play at 6,15 pm by the time 9.30pm arrived he was a wee bit weary.

So, Player of the Night was Paul Lupton who started fast and kept it up all night, so well played Paul.
