West CAC again travelled to the Badlands of Brandon to face their team named Energy, which I think it was named after Bill Maclennan, who to the great disappointment of his many fans wasn’t playing in this match. It all started as expected when Alan Whitwham gave another display of not playing very well and was beaten by Neil Richards in 3 ends, but the fight back by West began. Chainsaw Kelly overcame Peter Gregory in a titanic match when Chainsaw took the 5^th end 11-9, and that was followed by young Howard Forster with a great win against David Flynn when he took the 5^th game 11-9. West CAC were now leading Energy 2-1 but after that it was all downhill for them and we lost the next 7 games to lose the match 8-2, despite good performances by Chainsaw who lost in 5 ends to David and Howard’s 5 ends which youthful Peter won, so well played David and Peter and hard lines to the West pair.

Its hard to believe that Alan is ranked number one in the league, but fact is stranger than fiction.

Player of the Match was Neil Richards, so well played that man and all the players on both sides played very well except for one sad person, guess who, no prizes for the right answer.
