Match Report

West CAC in the guise of a table tennis team led by ever older Alan Whitwham and supported by Chainsaw Kelly and Silver Fox Howard Forster travelled way up Chester Road till we finally arrived at St. Gabs C only to find to our dismay that their team turned up and had no mercy on us.

What can I say except their captain Ken Tweedy, Stephen Young and the ever-dependable David Revell won all their games and the doubles to win 10-0, this is the 3rd time we have achieved the defeat this season and this is only the 8th match, not well done us. We all tried our best, the Silver Fox put up a fight , Old Alan played some good points but not enough to win and Chainsaw Kelly was the only one who looked like he could win a game, so well played my team, and better played the St. Gabs team, well done them.

Player of the Match was Captain Marvel Ken Tweedy, so well played the Captain who led by example and his teammates followed.

The unluckiest player was Chainsaw Kelly who lost 2 sets over 5 ends and with a bit luck he might have beaten Ken, so hard luck Declan and very well played on the night.

Gan Canny,

Alan, not a good leader, Whitwham.
