Match Report

West CAC travelled to the West Durham town Stanley to play our postponed match against Backspin A and despite the pleas of my team not to write a report, I decided to face the truth and go ahead.

It was a sad fact the old Alan’s match against the ever-dangerous Alan Livingstone was the highlight of the night when the old man was 9-1 down the 1st end only to fight back and only to lose that game 13-11. To prove miracles can happen the old dog won the next 2 games, but it then went to a 5th end with old Alan leading 5-4 at the change, but lost to Alan 11-6, so very well played Mr Livingstone, I think I shed a tear.

The next old man on the board was Charlie Mouzon, with his deadly bat, and he demolished Chainsaw Kelly in 3 ends and the rest of West’s team as well, so well played Charlie. Jamie Hall, what a nice lad, went on to beat Howard, the Silver Fox, in 3 ends, and he only dropped one end in the rest of the match, which was against Chainsaw, so well played that man.

So, Player of the Match, was Mr Mouzon, so very well played Charlie, his only regret on the night to find out he was younger than old Alan.

West lost 10-0 to a better Backspin side on the night, but they were lucky because we turned up.

Gan Canny,
