I would like to apologise to West CAC, Bethany, and all my readers for this late report, this came about when Newcastle beat Sunderland in the cup, I’ve been in a darken room with a bottle of red wine, I wish that there was a bottle opener, that would have made me happy.

Graham Sleep, not the dancer, led his team Phil Bowden, ( I played against the 5 brothers starting 68 years ago and 2 are still playing, so well done), and welcome back Howard Brown after his injuries kept him out for most of the season. Graham and Howard won all their sets and the doubles against Chainsaw Kelly and Red Wine Whitwham and give a thought for Phil after losing to Chainsaw and the Yorkshire Terrier, but he did beat Red Wine, so everybody was happy, except me again.

The Player of the Match was Howard Brown, so well played that man, how we missed you, not a lot.

The only plus for West was that we won 2 more sets than last time we played, well done Bethany, and well played on the night.
