Match Report
Welcome all players, organisers and friends to my 1st report of the season. Sorry it is late, this is because I’ve been in a darkened room for days after Monday’s match against Energy. A bad result for Wild, a 10-0 loss. My wife came up to my room with a glass of red wine regularly to keep up my strength and write the report.
All our team played well below our standards and got what we deserved, but that’s not to take away from Energy’s team of Neil Richards, Colin Prichard and David Flynn, who all played well on the night.
The only competitive set of the match was Neil against Michael Hepworth, which went to 5 ends and both players put on a good show with the home player winning 11-7 in the end.
I was impressed how much David Flynn has improved from last season, well played David. The Player of the Match was Colin Prichard, so well played that man, and well played Brandon Energy.
You may ask how the Old Wino came on, - I can only say that I made the rest of my team look good.
