A tribute to Harold Webb

A Tribute to Harold Webb:

The great British theatre director, actor and all-round eccentric Ken Campbell (he’s the one in Faulty Towers with the line about Cybill being ill….. “Cyb ill..do you get it ?” ) he once pointed out, quite accurately that the word “funeral” is an anagram of “real fun”.

Playing table tennis against Harold Webb was always real fun.

Harold would beat you and smile              .

Harold would lose to you and smile.

Table Tennis for Harold was like life – It was for smiling at.

And in Table Tennis, as in life, Harold did a lot of smiling, and everyone smiled back.

We may have lost Harold, but we can still smile!
