Team Handicap Competition

The Team Handicap Competition is now approaching the final which will be held at Hastings Academy on Tuesday the 7th September starting at 7:30 pm.

This is the first competitive event that Hastings & District Table Tennis Association has been able to run since it was forced to stop due to the pandemic. One object was to get a number of players starting to play competitive table tennis again in different venues in readiness for the start of the new league season.

Four clubs entered the event which started in July, Bexhillians, Hastings Academy, Hollington and Monarchs, with a total of 11 teams. Initially there were 3 mini leagues with the top 2 teams going through.  This was followed by 2 groups consisting of; Group 1 Bexhillians A, Hollington A and Hastings Academy C and Group 2 Hastings Academy A, Bexhillians B and Bexhillians D, with the winners of each group progressing to the final which is between Hastings Academy A and Hastings Academy C.

All H&DTTA members are welcome to come along and support the final which we hope will be an exciting match. Since it’s on a handicap basis, it makes it very difficult to predict the winner.
