There were only two players in the Academy team owing to the late drop out of a third player who had contracted Covid.  Rose Rainton was dominant throughout, putting on a virtuoso display of great control and spin, dropping only one set all night to complete her maximum.  Mike and Sheila had a classic battle with nothing between them all the way through to deuce in the fifth set before the luck went Mike’s way.  Roy and James played superbly in the doubles, winning three straight to complete the victory for Tackleway.
