| An evening dominated by four mammoth 5 game sets in which Colin somehow managed to win all three and Alan came back from 2-0 down to also win in five against Dave. Colin's five game set against Dave was the stand-out game of the evening, pitting pure attack against pure defense with Colin somehow getting balls back that seemed unreachable. Dave strained every sinew to break Colin's resistance over the first four games, but the Parslow effect was too strong in the end, despite some amazing clean winners from Dave. Alan managed to win two, with Gary beating Alan 15-13 in game four of set 2 to take a well deserved win. Ian managed to also go away with a treble, winning all three without reply, despite some close games and terrific play from Phil, Dave and Gary. The doubles proved to be an EPIC three game set going all the way each game until Phil and Gary ran out winners in three sets. Gary made the difference with some excellent angles and passing backhands. A very enjoyable evening and some quite brilliant shots and rallies by everyone! | ||||||||||||
