In the Handicap Cup Semi-final Llandudno were set the task of conceding an average of just under four points per game to Rhyl BJohn Hughes beat Rob Walker to eleven and Graham Heath to 26. Fred Mooreand Chris Markey beat Rob Walker to 35 and 32 points respectively and it was a clear advantage to Rhyl BGraham Heath and Steve Nicholls kept Chris Markey to 24 and 28 but it was not enough. Rhyl B won by 38 points and will meet Trinity B in an all second division Handicap Cup final.

In the first division Amlwch A finished an impressive 75 points clear of their nearest rivals following a 30-4 win over Henllan APaul Collins secured a maximum and tops the individual standings with a 92.7 per cent game average. Paul Hulme was two games up against both Ian Ault and Keith Williams before losing out in a pair of five-game thrillers. Henllan A missed a fifth-place finish by two points having lost their opening nine games in the first division. Rhyl A is runner-up by 56 points from third placed Trinity A. In the last game of the season Trinity A fielded their strongest team of the campaign and beat Rhyl A comfortably 28-8. Abhisek Bathula was back from university and secured a maximum. John Chan also won his three singles but was pushed to fifth-game decider by David Daniels and dropped a game to both Eliot Platt and Barry Russ. The solitary Rhyl A victory was achieved by David Daniels who beat Ken Connor over four games. Police Asecured fourth position in the division by narrowly beating seventh placed Y Morfa A 20-19. Brian Cooke won his three singles but was taken to a fifth-game decider by Rob Stanway. Rob did get the better of James Wanin the other five-game tussle. Other notable performances included a win by Chris Henderson over Roger Lee over four game and another four-game battle which went the way of Roger at the expense of Andy Horton. While Amlwch B finished bottom of the league they rounded off their season with a narrow 20-18 win against fifth placed LlandudnoReg John proved to be the strongest player on night but was taken to a fifth game by Andy LuntBen Sutcliffe played his part beating both Graham Heath and Andy Lunt and losing out in the fifth to Steve NichollsReg John and Emyr Owen teamed up to beat Steve Nicholls and Andy Lunt in a tense five game encounter.

In the second division Rhyl B are crowned champions by 43 points despite losing their first match in the division.  They lost 20-26 to second division runners-up Craig-y-don ATom Bird rounded off an excellent season by winning his singles, although Chris Markey took him to a fifth game. Ross Lander beat both John Hughes and Fred Moore in five-game battles but lost in another to Chris MarkeyAdy Waugh representing Craig-y-don A won yet another five-game match against Fred MooreRhyl B had an easier time disposing of Craig-y-don B running out winners by 28-8. John Hughes secured a maximum and by achieving an 82.4 per cent game average he tops the individual standings narrowly from his team-mate Chris MarkeySteve Lowestepped up to plate winning all three of his singles matches although Dave Roe took him to a fifth game decider. The only win on the evening for Craig-y-don B was secured by stepping down substitute Ged Haresnape at the expense of Fred Moore. The battle for a third-place finish seemed to be going the way of Henllan B, but they lost out to Rhyl C 18-19. Rhyl C left it to their last game of the season to record their first victory. Steve Lowe won all three singles matches dropping only two games on the night. He was ably supported by Andy Chambers who beat Chris Watkins in three straight games. Andy and Steve teamed up in the doubles to beat John Lovegrove and Ian MacGillivray 3-1 to secure the win. Trinity B secured third position in the league despite only fielding two players. Their task was helped by the fact that Craig-y-don Balso only had only two available players. The two teams fought out an honourable 17-17 draw. David Roe beat both Roy Williams and Rob Stewart in five-game encounters. Dave Strange beat Roy Williams 3-1 but it was not enough with Trinity B winning the other two matches to secure the draw. Police B will finish the season in fifth place following a 25-13 victory over Y Morfa BPeter Roberts won his singles dropping just one game to Dave MeadowsY Morfa B won two of three five-game encounters, Mike Trbojevic overcameStan Wan and Dave Meadows beat Alan Lavery both by an 11-9 score line in the decider.
