In the First Division League Cup Quarter Finals the closest match witnessed Y Morfa A and Henllan A each winning five matches with no one player dominating. Andy HortonRob StanwaySean Lucas and Harold Furber won two matches apiece. The score in games won was 22 to 17 in favour of Y Morfa A, who progress to the semi-final. The five-game matches resulted in wins for Sean against Andy, Harold against both Rob and Jason Coe. Elliot and Glen teamed up to land the doubles over four games and secure the victory. Police A beat Trinity A 6-2, Stuart Dearden won both of his individual games but Brian Cooke and James Wan won two each for Police A. Additionally, Roger Lee beat Alan Hooper over five games and teamed with Brian to land the doubles and the match with two games to spare.

In the Second Division League Cup Quarter Finals each of the ties were clear cut with the losers only managing three wins over the four ties. Henllan B won two of these, a five-game thriller in the doubles and Iain MacGillivray beat Meirion Williams in three straight games. However, Police B proved too strong Peter Roberts dropping just one game in his three singles wins. Stan Wan also won his singles but was pushed to a decider against John LovegrovePolice B won 8-2. Y Morfa B won one match in their tie thanks to Steve Davies three game win over Ged HaresnapeTom Bird dropped one game in his matches and Ady Waugh was also unbeaten but was pushed to a fifth game decider against Steve DaviesCraig y Don A won 9-1. Rhyl B raced to 9-0 score line at the expense of Craig y Don BNorman Stagg achieved a maximum and teamed up with Chris Markey to win the doubles 3-1. Dave Roe gained one game from Fred MooreTrinity B achieved a match winning 6-0 at Rhyl C. With Rob StewartAndy Chamberlain each won two singles matches and the doubles without dropping a game. Roy Williams also beat Bridget Prescott in three straight games.
