In the League Cup First Division Preliminary Round, Y Morfa A conceded to Amlwch B who are now home next week to Henllan A in the quarterfinals.

In the League Cup Second Division Preliminary Round, Trinity B scrapped past Rhyl C 5-4 thanks to John Lovegrove winning his three singles matches. John was taken to a fifth game decider by Steve Lowe. In the other five-game thriller in the cup tie Steve Lowe overcame Rob StewartTrinity B have secured a home tie in the quarterfinals next week against Amlwch C.

In the first division, fourth placed Trinity A beat fifth placed Henllan A 23-15. John Chan proved to be the strongest player dropping just one game to Josh Parry. Josh was involved in the two five game encounters in the match, losing to Stuart Dearden and narrowly in the doubles with his partner Jonny Hughes.

Rhyl A languish in sixth place but are still in the race for runners up spot, this week winning the Rhyl derby 26-11. The ‘man of the match’ was Ben Moore representing Rhyl B, he beat Tom Bird and John Hughes over five games and David Daniels in a four-game encounter. Fred Moore took a game from Tom Bird and Barry Russ won a game against John Hughes.

In the second division, Trinity C move into the runners-spot following a 27-9 win over Craig-y-don CKevin Hu dropped just one game on the evening to David Tyrrell and Ellis Hughes two games in a five battle with the same opponent. The doubles was the other five game match with Ellis and Kevin prevailing against Bill Wells and David Tyrrell,11-9 in the decider.

Trinity B lie third despite losing 18-19 to fifth placed Henllan B. Here Melvyn Booker proved to be the strongest player dropping just one game to both Andrew Chamberlain and John LovegroveAndrew Chamberlain beat Ian MacGillivray over four games. But in a very tight fixture Peter Barrow representing Henllan B took a game from both Andrew Chamberlain and Rob Stewart to secure the victory.

Police B are fourth in the table with matches in hand over their rivals and remain unbeaten, this week easing past two-man Y Morfa B 30-4. Peter Roberts secured a maximum to lie fourth in the divisional individual standings. Dave Meadows took a game from both Stan Wan and Nigel McLaughlin. The game of the night witnessed Nigel McLaughlin overcome Mike Trbojevic 12-10 in a fifth game decider.

Craig Y Don B won their first match of the season beating seventh placed Rhyl C 19-17. Ged Haresnape dropped only two games, one each to Marcus Wilton-Jones and Andy Chambers. On debut for Rhyl CWilliam (Jianhong Lin) beat Bridget Prescott in three straight games and took a game from Telor Jones.
