Match Report

Seems we can't buy a win these days, though technically we did last week v Morpeth.

Never was there more than one point separating the teams in an evenly balanced match, finishing 5-5, a fair result.

Only two sets went the distance, both involving Ronnie. In the corresponding fixture Petko's two wins, one over Ronnie, proved decisive, in them getting over the line 6-4.
This time out he led Ronnie 2-1 and another win looked on the cards. Ronnie responded with an 11-3 win in the 4th and raced into an 8-4 lead in the 5th. Petko fought back to 8-8, aided by an edge and a net.
Nervous moments for Ronnie who could so easily have folded under the circumstances, but he rallied to win the last three points and the match.

Nabil was their star player, winning all 3,  beating Ronnie in the other 5 setter from 2-0 down.

Nabil and Alan proved an irresistible pairing, running out comfortable winners in the doubles to secure the draw.
