Match Report
After a relatively straight-forward 3-set loss in his first match to Duncan Brown, Ben Link promptly switched his bat and his form and was involved in two very close encounters.
His gladiatorial match with Adam produced some truly astonishing big-hitting rapid-fire exchanges with countless impossible returns being met by even more unlikely winners from preposterous angles at breakneck speed.
Only one of them could emerge victorious from such an encounter, and once the smoke cleared, it was Adam left standing, coming back from 2:1 down to take a 12-10 win in the fifth.
Scottie then relaxed into the match and aided perhaps by a judicious edge or two, he came home relatively easily, to win in five.
Ben's match with Scottie followed a similar pattern to his encounter with Adam, with Ben edging ahead after the first three sets, only to lose out by the smallest of margins in the two remaining ends.
