Cracking match between two old adversaries. With a little more luck in three five leggers Castaways lost it could have been a win for them. 

Terry should never have been playing and was holding his damaged shoulder constantly all night but played through pain to win one and help with the doubles. He could easily have had enough losing 9 itf in the opening singles. 

I had an interesting evening losing two in five including being two legs up against Cain before eventually losing. I also beat ian in four. 

Phil was recovering from food poisoning and also probably shouldn’t have played but battled gamely having not played for a while but only managed a leg although he also lost a third leg 16-14 which he should have won. 

Cain, playing with a damaged wrist and ankle always had enough in reserve to score a good maximum. 

Ian and Steve both got doubles and did well to do so. 

The doubles was an interesting battle and the deuce in the first leg possibly settled it but I think Terry will be paying for his excellent contribution tomorrow!
