Match Report
As Richard quite rightly pointed out in his last bulletin, there is a large divide between the top and bottom halves of the table. And so it proved with last night's convincing victory for Morpeth.
Played on the 13th of the month, this was never going to be a lucky night for us.
It was though a match played in excellent sporting spirits.
My 4th consecutive 5-set defeat this season. Ironically, I had won more points than Simon over the 5 sets.
Another blank night for George, but he did manage to win a game against both Simon and Duncan. Green shoots, maybe?
Highlights of the night must include Jai's 3-0 win against Jens, and likewise Jens' victory over me.
I caught him at 7-7, went 8-7 up, 9-8 down and 10-9 up before finally getting over the line 12-10.
Very much a ding-dong battle. It was my first 5-set victory of the season.
