Match Report

Frank Dos Santos gave me a much closer game than I expected after the first end. Bryan Gittens played very well to beat him.

It appears from the card that Paul Baylis won his 3 without breaking sweat, but he was a bit lucky to win the first end against me, coming back from 4-9 to level at 10 all with an edge, though after that he had no trouble. Richard O was a class above and though I pinched an end and led 9-8 in the 4th, the result was never in doubt. We hoped to win the doubles, but they were much tighter than us and won easily.

May I take this opportunity to say how much enjoyment I get from reading your bulletins; it is remarkable how you add so much colour to the results when you haven't played in the League for so many years. You provide a great service to the League and I hope this continues for many years to come!

Best Wishes

David
