Knowing that DIT had achieved a 13-pointer earlier in the week I would happily have settled for a draw against the Old Boys , hence the Machiavellian team selection whereby both Team Captains dropped them selves [only joking: it was planned team rotation].

In the event, B&TB had the rub of the green on an evening when Flavinda excelled herself and was clear POTM whilst Doug was unlucky that Houdini Sinarain saved two match points to triumph 14-12 in the 5^th.

Rick Salmon deserves especial mention achieving a unique hat-trick of hitting the ball into each of the other 3 courts and conceding one set to love , yet hitting some of the most scintillating winners seen all night.

And , by a mix up, made the (excellent) sandwiches.
