Match Report
Perhaps, the most surprising result of the season, given that both sides fielded similar strength teams!
The evening started well for NatWest with Gareth taking a 2 set lead over Pat. However, at 10-10 in the third set two poor shots by Gareth gave Pat a chance to get back into the match. Pat then took the next 2 sets, winning the match with an edge.
Pete then raced into a 2 set lead, but Adam saved 4 match points to take the match into a final set. You would have thought that the momentum was now with Adam, but Pete ran out a comfortable winner in the fifth.
The match of the evening was Tony against Pat. Tony was having a bad evening, but he looked comfortable when he took a 2 set to 1 lead. Pat fought back and the match went to the fifth set. The fifth set was, but Pat sneaked a win 13-11.
The doubles also went to 5, but given how the rest of the evening had gone it was inevitable that Castaways would win it!
