Match Report

Most would have predicted a NatWest victory before the start and so it proved, but by the narrowest of margins, Natwest winning all the 5 setters.

In the first match Adam was in front  8-7 in the final set, but then had to change his bat due to damage.  He probably would have won anyway, but we'll never know.
Jai came within a whisker of beating Les.  In fairness Les held two match points at 10-8 in both the fourth and fifth sets. Jai having saved 4 match points held two of his own at 11-10 and 12-11 before Les finally emerged victorious on his fifth match point. jai did go on to beat Gareth, I believe, for the first time in many years.

Due to time restrictions we were forced to play the final two matches on two tables, thus denying me the opportunity to continue my winning run with Ronnie.  However, Ronnie and Jai did me proud by staging a remarkable recovery from 2-0 down before succumbing 11-8 in the fifth.
