- Treasury players were in control throughout the match and all played well.
- For Sparta, Mike Loveder was consistent across all of his matches in going to four ends, and managed to beat Dennis Robinson.
- Loveder and John came close to winning the doubles, but Robinson and Giuffrida stepped up a gear in the fifth end to take the extra point.
