Another one of those rare nights, with all players getting on the scoreboard.
Sparta turned out arguably their strongest side for only the third time this season, justifiably securing the points they needed to almost guarantee another season in the top division.
There were three pivotal matches, all going the distance, that decided the outcome of this match, not surprisingly two involving Dave Evans.
Firstly he beat Ronnie, coming back from 2-0 down, then George did the same against Peter, and finally in my match against Dave with both enjoying moments of supremacy, none more so that in the final end with Dave coming back from 10-6 down only to lose the final two points.
Peter also deserves a mention for his defeat of Ronnie in 4 ends.
Ronnie and I continued our good form in the doubles, edging out Mike and Peter in 4 ends. A satisfying night for all concerned.
PS As records go, has any player managed a maximum, including the doubles, after losing the opening game in each set.
