Chatham Dorset pulled off an unexpected first victory of the season against visitors Sturdee and move off the bottom of Div 1. They were led by Charlie Cook who beat all 3 Sturdee players and an impressive double from Julian Barker who only lost out to Ted Tydeman making his Div 1 seasonal debut. Tydeman also beat Max Day as did teamates Medhi Golchehreh and Peter Stokes but the Doubles went the youngsters way, in three deuce legs, for the vital winning 6th point.
