Chatham Dorset bounced back from last week's heavy defeat to record a narrow victory over visitors Rainham 2. Claire Blackman replaced Julian Barker in the Dorset line-up and she gave a Player of the Match performance with victories against Mike Ingram and John Coleman only losing over 5 legs to Mike Hambelton. In fact Dorset raced into a 5-1 lead as Captain Gareth Fox beat Hambelton and Ingram and Phil Humphries outlasted Coleman in the 5th. However, Rainham fought back with Ingram and Coleman getting on the scoresheet to add to Hambelton's brace. Fox/Blackman won the Doubles 11-4 in the 5th to secure the 6th and winning point.
