Chatham were without star player Mark Buckley so had to settle for a 7, 3 victory, The win was made up of maximums from Stuart Fritter and Martin Birley, the latter was involved in a marathon first leg against Robert Jarazoynski, 24,22! before the Chatham player settled down! to win the next two 11,6, 11.7. John Kane managed to defeat Greg Hackers in four and looked like he would overcome Stuart Fritter, winning the first 11,4, before the Chatham player found his form, to win the next three  11,9, 11,2 ,11,4.  Alex Clarke also had a close encounter against Stuart Fritter, all four legs very close but couldn't get over the line.
